Transmission Control Valve
This stand was designed for high volume production testing of a very sophisticated control valve for powershift transmissions. The valve incorporates hydraulic pilot actuation, manual controls, and electrical modulation, all of which require test sequences of high precision and complexity. The test stand's computer control system monitors all phases of testing and machine operation. Test data, including the graphical plots of hysteresis and solenoid response are displayed on the monitor for the operator and transmitted to a remote computer for permanent storage.
Special tooling for testing this valve is shown below.
One surface of the valve (visible at right above) is lapped and designed to operate without a gasket. To ensure this surface is not marred during mounting for the test, it is loaded upside down, then automatically moved into position and clamped.
